The Cetin hydropower plant
The work shall be carried out in cooperation with the main contractor, Yuksel-Ilci J/V from Turkey.
The Norwegian energy firm Statkraft is the investor for development of the Cetin Hydroelectric Plant on the Botan river in eastern Turkey. Total installed capacity will be 517 MW.
Veidekke Industry through its department Asphalt Core Dams shall supply advisory services, special machinery, initial mix design, training, supervision and quality control.
Construction works on the project shall commence at the end of the year in 2011 while asphalt works are expected to start in the spring of 2013. Work on the dam is scheduled to take approximately 24 months.
