Asphalt Core works on Dike D2 started in the middle of September 2011. The embankment asphalt core dike D2 will be approximately 45 metres high with a crest length will be 730 metres on top. The dike’s volume is estimated at equal to 730,000 m3 of which 6,300 m3 is the volume of the asphalt core. Construction works on Dike D2 will not be completed this year due to 4- 5 months winter stop. This is the first of the five dikes in this project, asphalt core works on the main dam and other dikes shall commence in spring 2012.
